![]() To answer your second question more directly, yes, I've added cards as I've gone through.ĭespite my criticism, I've gotten a lot of value from this deck and am thankful to u/rebopbebop for them, and I definitely recommend integrating them into your Kaplan course of study. To be fair, this is exactly what u/rebopbebop recommends. To best address this, I recommend reading through the relevant chapters in Kaplan so you'll have a better sense of what's missing or inaccurate before going through the deck. Sometimes you'll find that your intuition was wrong and the notecards were right, other times no. However, be prepared to check what the notecards say with other resources. ![]() If you were to blindly accept and master everything in this deck you would probably have the content knowledge to be able to get a 515-525 just fine, assuming you do other exam prep. These issues are minor and by no means this isn't a great aid to studying, especially if you're focused on the big picture and less concerned with a misconception here or there. There's another 1-2% of content in the texts that it simply doesn't mention. As such, you have to be somewhat wary and not automatically accept everything that it says to be true. I'd say on average about 2-4% of the note cards have incorrect or misleading information. This a good resource that could be great, but it is somewhat incomplete and inaccurate in places that preclude its use as a stand-alone study tool. I've been using this deck throughout my course of study for the MCAT and have a couple observations and suggestions for how to best incorporate it into your study schedule if you're using the Kaplan texts as your guide. I haven't taken the exam yet, so take everything I say with a grain of salt. Good luck guys! Keep working hard and good things will come. If they help you great, if not, no sweat. These were made using the 2018 editions of these books. There's a deck for each chapter of each kaplan content book (except CARS), so feel free to pick and choose them as you like. But, as an MCAT Prep Class Teacher and Tutor I consider these to be (mostly) very high quality flashcards. The MCAT subreddit is massively impressive, so I'm sure you guys already have a great set of cards you are passing around. These are what I consider to be an extremely comprehensive set of flashcards with a focus on understanding concepts to incorporate semantic encoding and images to incorporate visual encoding. I've been teaching with a test prep company for about a year and a half now, and I've gotten even sharper on the MCAT. Like the title says, I wrote up a guide that was pretty well received a few years ago. /r/GAMSAT - Australian & UK Medical school Admission Test.P/S = Psychological, Social, and Biological Foundations of Behavior (Tentative) AAMC Sample FL Score ConversionĬ/P = Chemical and Physical Foundations of Biological SystemsĬARS = Critical Analysis and Reasoning Skillsī/B = Biological and Biochemical Foundations of Living Systems # Correct -> Scaled Score Converter for AAMC Material These posts will be removed and the user banned without warning, subject to the discretion of the mod team Learn MoreĪll of the above rules are subject to moderator discretion High Yield MCAT Links You have signed an examinee agreement, and it will be enforced on this subreddit.ĭo not intentionally advertise paid or free products or services of any sort.
